Bridesmaid Gifting

Wedding season is upon us once again! I live by a bridge in Chicago that is a popular spot for bridal parties to take photos (mine included). A few weekends ago there were about three different bridal groups waiting to take photos at this particular location. I know that as the weather continues to improve there will be even more weddings.

One of the hardest things I struggled with is what to give my bridesmaids. Of course there is the "go to" of giving your attendants jewelry to wear on the big day. However, I feel that modern brides these days aren't as concerned about everything matching as far as their bridesmaids are concerned. I think that it is great to give your bridesmaids something they will use after the wedding. My husband gave his groomsmen "coolpix" digital cameras, it was great because we had 12 extra people taking pictures throughout the night of our wedding, and captured things that our photographer missed. Plus they still use them to this day. I am partial to our hangers at Hangers Couture, but let me tell you the best feedback we have received from our customers is "the photos on the website don't do them justice." They are fun to have in your closet, and lets face it EVERYONE uses hangers, why not give your bridesmaids some "bling" for their closets? If you buy 5 Pearl for each girl it will cost $25.00 per person, or $20.00 per person if you buy the crystal. They will love them, and it is a very unique gift, not they same old you see at every wedding. I also came across another fun gift that you can give your bridesmaids they are portable make up mirrors that have ooze old Hollywood glamour with the built in lighting I am for sure grabbing a few of these to give my girlfriends for their birthday. They are ideal for doing a "touch up" in the back of a cab, or in a dark restaurant or club. They also come in a variety of styles so you can choose the style depending on your friends personality. If you can't decide what to give your bridesmaids, why not do both? Either way they are gifts they would truly be appreciate and used for years to come!
